Care Circle: share dementia care with your family
A private family space for updates, visits and appointments — with plain-English privacy rules.
Your Care Circle stays in your family’s hands
Here is what is shared, who sees it, and who is in charge. In plain words.
- The person who sets up the Care Circle is the owner and is in charge.
- Only people the owner invites can join. Each invite link works once and ends after 7 days.
- The owner chooses what each family member can see. Health summary, medications, money and legal details start switched off.
- Family members see only this Care Circle, not the owner’s other private records.
- A private note can be seen only by the person who wrote it and the owner.
- The owner can remove anyone at any time, and anyone can leave.
- Our admin accounts cannot open Care Circle notes. Our dashboard shows numbers only.
- We do not sell your information.
- If the owner’s plan ends, the Care Circle becomes read-only for 30 days, then closes. We never delete it ourselves — the owner can export it or delete it.
- A Care Circle gives no legal power. It does not replace power of attorney, guardianship or a registered supporter. Who can decide? explains the law.
- Please use first names or nicknames only, and no bank, Medicare or password details.

In 60 seconds
- One person — you, the owner — sets up the circle and invites up to five family members.
- Family members join free and pick a first name or nickname.
- Everyone sees updates, visits and appointments in one place.
- You choose what each person can see. Health, medications, money and legal details start switched off.
- A Care Circle gives no legal power. Who can decide? explains the law.
How it works
- 1One person sets up the circleYou name your circle and your loved one, using a first name or nickname. You become the owner.
- 2You invite your familyEach person gets their own invite link. Each link works once and ends after 7 days.
- 3Everyone joins on a free accountFamily members pick a first name or nickname when they join. Joining costs them nothing.
- 4Everyone shares in one placeUpdates on how the person is going, visit notes, appointments and family decisions — all in one private space.
- 5You stay in chargeYou choose what each person can see, you can change it any time, and you can remove anyone at any time.
Who sees what
Updates only
Reads updates on how the person is going and visit notes. Cannot write anything.
Appointment helper
Everything in Updates only, plus appointments, the care team contacts, visit notes and appointment prep.
Co-carer
Everything an appointment helper can do, plus adding and editing appointments, shared notes and family decisions.
Your switches
Presets are only a starting point. In the Members screen you can switch each permission on or off for each person. Health summary, medications, money and legal details start switched off for everyone, and only you, the owner, can switch them on — one person at a time.
Who is in charge
You are — if you set the circle up. The owner is the person who created the circle, and only the owner can:
- invite family members, with a link that works once and ends after 7 days;
- choose what each person can see, and change it any time;
- remove anyone at any time (any member can also leave themselves);
- export everything, or delete the circle and everything in it.
A Care Circle gives its members no legal authority. Who can decide? explains who holds legal authority under Australian law, state by state.
What it costs
The person who starts the Care Circle uses the Family Carer plan — $9.99 a month or $99 a year AUD. Everyone they invite joins free. Family members never need to pay to be in a circle.
What a Care Circle is not
- It is not a legal authority. It gives no family member power to decide anything. Who can decide? explains power of attorney, guardianship and registered supporters.
- It is not an emergency service. In an emergency call 000. Crisis Support lists other help.
- It is not a place for harm reports. If you are worried about how someone is being treated, Elder Abuse explains where to get help.

Knowledge doesn't just inform care — it transforms it. Every thing you learn about dementia, every framework you understand, every skill you build, translates directly into better moments for the person in front of you. That is why education in aged care is not optional. It is the most powerful act of care we have.
