1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account and using Cassandra's Compass ("the App", "the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service

Always consult a qualified and registered health professional before making decisions about medication, treatment, diagnosis, or care. In an emergency, call 000 immediately.
4. User Accounts

- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account
- You must provide accurate information when registering
- One account per person — accounts are non-transferable
- The App contains educational content about dementia, aged care, palliative care, and end-of-life topics. See Privacy Policy Section 15 — Children's Privacy, Age Suitability & Parental Guidance for details on content that may affect minors and parental monitoring recommendations
- Information you provide during registration and account use is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy (Section 2 — Data We Collect)
If you are a caregiver using the App on behalf of someone living with dementia, you are responsible for ensuring that the person you care for (where they have capacity) has consented to the information being recorded. See Privacy Policy Section 14 — Vulnerable Users for guidance on consent and capacity.
5. Acceptable Use & Community Guidelines
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
- Upload or share content that is harmful, abusive, defamatory, or violates third-party rights
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other users' data — your personal care data is protected by Row-Level Security (see Privacy Policy Section 3); attempting to circumvent this is a serious breach

Content posted in community areas (Community, Student Hub, Cass's Café) is visible to other logged-in users and is subject to moderation. Reported content will be reviewed per our Privacy Policy Section 7 and may be removed without notice if it violates these Terms.
6. Subscriptions & Payments
- Subscription fees are billed monthly or annually as selected
- All prices are in Australian Dollars (AUD) and include GST where applicable
- You may cancel your subscription at any time; access continues to the end of the billing period
- We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods except where required by Australian Consumer Law
- We reserve the right to modify pricing with 30 days' notice
Payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe (web), Apple App Store / StoreKit 2 (iOS), and Google Play Billing (Android). We never see or store your full card details. See Privacy Policy Section 7.2 and 7.5 for details on how payment data is handled.
7. Intellectual Property & Data Ownership
The Cassandra's Compass name, logo, branding, clinical templates, and educational content are our intellectual property or licensed to us. You may use templates for personal care purposes only — commercial use, resale, or distribution requires written permission.
You retain ownership of all data you enter into the application. By using the Service, you grant us a limited licence to store and display that data back to you. Critically, your personal care data (journals, medications, care logs, BPSD records, shift records, etc.) is protected by Row-Level Security — even our own administrators cannot access it. See Privacy Policy Section 3 — What We Cannot See and Section 8 — Data Security for full details on how your data is protected.

To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law, Cassandra's Compass and its creators are not liable for:
- Any harm arising from reliance on information in the App

- Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
Nothing in these Terms excludes consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law (Competition and Consumer Act 2010).
9. Termination & Account Closure
We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms, including attempting to access other users' private data or posting harmful content in community areas. You may delete your account at any time via the User Profile screen. Upon termination or deletion, your data will be handled as described in Privacy Policy Section 13 — Data Deletion & Account Closure, with all user-scoped data permanently removed within 30 days.
