You are not in a circle yet. Create one, or wait for a family member to invite you.
Create a circle
Creating a Care Circle needs the Family Carer plan. Family members you invite join on a free account and see only this circle.
Know the roles
Next of kin is a contact role, not a legal authority. Knowing someone does not give you power to decide for them.
Power of attorney covers money and legal matters only. Enduring guardianship covers health and lifestyle, and only when the person cannot decide for themselves.
Health services ask for the person responsible (the legal term in New South Wales) or your state's equivalent. Under the Aged Care Act 2024, a registered supporter can help the older person make their own decisions, in line with their will and preferences.
A Care Circle gives its members no legal authority. It only records and shares information the owner chooses to share.
Knowledge doesn't just inform care — it transforms it. Every thing you learn about dementia, every framework you understand, every skill you build, translates directly into better moments for the person in front of you. That is why education in aged care is not optional. It is the most powerful act of care we have.
